hi, I have a pair of gpa 515 8 lf, I would like to know which is the optimal volume to build the bass reflex speakers, I did some tests but I'm not happy with the result ..., thanks to those who help me!

'Optimal' depends on a number of things such as what your performance goals are, whether or not it will be driven with a high output impedance amp and/or what sort of EQ will you use, if any; then there's the room dimensions and where in it each speaker will be placed and area where the listening 'sweet spot' is.

Qts' = 0.274

Classic BR:

Vb = ~326.43 L/1.44 = ~226.69 L/8 ft^3

Fb = [actual] Fs


T/S max flat [0.707] BR:

Vb = 20*470.06*0.274^3.3 = ~131.45 L

Fb = 0.42*27.4*0.274^.0.96 = ~39.88 Hz

In either case, vent design will depend on the max [peak] power it's likely to 'feel' down in the bass.

In theory, any box size, tuning [vented alignment] within this range is 'optimal' depending on all the variables that impact its performance.
